House of Representatives Approves Tax Credit | Bill Signed by President
Update: Bill signed into law by President Obama this morning. 11/06/2009
Now, it’s on to President Obama for signature in the next few days.
Here’s a chart of the differences between the existing tax credit and the revised (primarily there’s provisions not just for First Time Homebuyers but also for those that have owned a home and are purchasing a replacement property.) There are many fine points to the changed tax rules. It is in your best interest to get advice from qualified tax professionals and understanding your options in relation to these “new” tax guidelines.
The Home-buyer Credit is an amendment (S. A. 2712) to the Unemployment Compensation Extension Act (H.R. 3548)

This should prove to be very helpful for buyers and sellers in the Corvallis, Oregon and surrounding markets of Albany, Oregon; Philomath, Oregon; Lebanaon, Oregon and Linn and Benton County by creting movement throughout the market, not just in the “first time homebuyer” segment.

Information You Need to Know about Electrical Panels
Important information for buyers and sellers in the Corvallis, Albany and Philomath markets.
One of the most important aspects of a home is safety. Sometimes being safe is tied to being informed. One of the areas where I can help as a professional is in identifying a potential problem and assuring that it’s dealt with properly either before your home goes on the market (if you’re a seller or through the offer/home inspection process if you are a buyer). One item that we frequently run across in the our market–Corvallis, Albany, Philomath and Lebanon, Oregon–is problem electrical panels (Federal Pacific and Zinsco). Many of these were installed years ago… and appear to function just fine, but remember just because you don’t see the problem, doesn’t mean it’s not there… Please consider a review of the following link regarding problem electrical panels, you may find it interesting and it may prevent a fire. Once you’ve reviewed it, you can decide if you need further assistance from a qualified electrician.
New Lending Requirements–May Delay Closings…
There are new regulations coming into place that may affect your ability to close your home purchase in a timely manner. Buyers and Sellers need to recognize that the closing date on the contract may need to be extended to accommodate changing circumstances. This brochure was provided to me by a top lender. It’s well written and easy to understand.
