I have recently concluded my fifth real estate transaction with Dava Behrens of Coldwell Banker. Since 2004, she has represented me in the purchase of three properties in Corvallis and in the sale of two. These have not been easy relationships, in that they were all conducted, at least in part, remotely (across state borders). As the seller’s agent Dava has inspected and staged my properties. She has contacted and followed-up with inspectors and repair people. She has sought multiple quotes when repairs were warranted and presented me with several options. In both cases, I received an offer quickly, following her good advice as to pricing, based on her comparative market analysis. I never worried with her as my agent and was able to handle everything from my home, with just email and fax. These days, with cost concern so prevalent, it seems that more home owners are trying the for-sale-by-owner approach to selling their properties. I firmly believe that the services of an accomplished agent, such as Dava, are imperative to getting the most for your house and, in the end, save money and hassle for the seller. I simply could not have without the expertise of Dava in these transactions. Earlier, as the buyer’s agent, Dava escorted me through the available properties, detailing pros and cons and providing needed local knowledge. I was pleased with all the purchases I made and believe I got good value for my money. We recently relocated to Corvallis from Michigan, buying a home through Dava Behrens, and want to make sure that you are aware of the outstanding service that she provided. Dava Behrens (provided us) wit useful tools and info-maps, community information, print-outs of every available home in our price range, and, most helpful, a Corvallis phonebook. Dava gave us her full and immediate attention whenever we contacted her for additional information. Dava spent two days giving us home tours. She was extremely helpful, thorough, and patient. Dava re-visited many homes in our price range, several time taking detailed photos and mailing them to us overnight. When I would call her with a question about a particular layout or design, she would return to the home in order to answer the question precisely. She was determined to find a house that we would truly love. Dava was always upbeat and delight to talk to. Dava continued her outstanding service as she oversaw many details of the home inspection, repairs, and financing.
